Diesel loading arm is a special type of loading arm designed for loading diesel fuel. To begin, let's briefly understand what a loading arm is. A loading arm, also known as a liquid unloading arm, primarily serves as the connector between the chemical or oil pipeline and the tank truck. Its structure includes a universal joint, which allows it to dock freely within its operating range while maintaining balance. The most important feature is that it uses seamless piping and specialized sealing materials, ensuring the safety and ease of operation during the loading and unloading process.

Diesel is a light petroleum product used as fuel for diesel engines. It is divided into two main categories: light diesel (boiling point range around 180–370°C) and heavy diesel (boiling point range around 350–410°C). The primary use of diesel is as fuel for vehicles and ships. Compared to gasoline, diesel has a higher energy density and lower fuel consumption rate. Diesel is energy-efficient, which is why some smaller vehicles and even high-performance cars have switched to diesel engines. Diesel loading arms were initially used in top-loading configurations, where the arm was installed on a platform, and the vertical pipe was inserted into the top loading port of the tank truck. However, due to increased environmental and safety regulations in recent years, modern diesel loading arms now typically use bottom loading configurations with a dry-break valve connection, and the model used is AL2404.
