
Loading arm Component Composition:
Boom
Used to support the weight of the arm, disperse the load of rotating joints, and provide stable installation. The column can be connected to the gantry using bolts or welding.
Inner Arm Locking Mechanism:
Secures the arm in the retracted position to prevent damage to the arm or surrounding structures due to high winds or unauthorized operation.
Interface:
The connecting part between the arm and the pipeline, usually connected with flanges.
Rotating Joints:
Enables the arm's rotational movement within its operating range. Conventional loading arms use 4 or 5 rotating joints to achieve three-dimensional motion and interface alignment.
Inner Arm:
The section between the interface and the outer arm that allows horizontal rotation.
Outer Arm:
The main body of the loading arm, capable of 360° horizontal rotation and 75° vertical rotation.
Vapor Phase Pipe (AL1412/3 Type):
Made of stainless steel metal hose, used to handle evaporated gas media.
Drop Tube:
Allows the loading arm to extend into the tanker. Aluminum drop tubes overcome the risks associated with collision when using steel materials.
Balance System:
Used to balance the weight of the outer arm and drop tube, ensuring smooth and lightweight arm operation. The balance system utilizes a spring cylinder with a compressed spring.
Vacuum Short-circuit Valve / Exhaust Valve:
The vacuum short-circuit valve ensures the removal of residual media from the loading arm, while the exhaust valve is used to release gas from the drop tube during unloading.
Sound and Light Level Alarm (Optional):
A level probe installed at the head of the drop tube alerts the operator to close the valve when the liquid medium in the tanker approaches the top, and it can be linked with a control solenoid valve.
