Liquid Chlorine Loading Arm

Liquid chlorine loading arm is a closed loading/unloading equipment specially designed for liquid chlorine, a highly corrosive and toxic medium. Its core requirements include high tightness, corrosion resistance, and leak prevention. It must be equipped with emergency shut-off and breakaway devices, and its use is mandatory in accordance with national standards.
Core Parameters & Sizes
Common nominal diameters: Liquid phase DN50, vapor phase mostly DN50
Design pressure: 0.6–2.5 MPa (covers most tank truck working conditions)
Applicable temperature: -20℃~80℃ (for conventional liquid chlorine storage and transportation)
Key Structure
Core components: Column, swivel joints, inner/outer arms, breakaway valve, dry disconnect valve / self-locking quick coupling, emergency shut-off valve
Mandatory safety features: Vapor recovery line (closed loading/unloading, direct discharge prohibited), emergency shut-off valve (installed on both liquid and vapor lines), breakaway valve (automatically disconnects and seals in case of accidental displacement)
Regulatory basis: GB 11984-2024 Technical Specification for Chlorine Safety in Chemical Enterprises, AQ 3014-2008, which explicitly prohibit the use of hoses and require the use of loading arms / rigid piping.
