Characteristics of Steel-Lined Loading Arms
Steel-lined loading arms are a type of loading arm with a main structure made of high-strength steel and lined with corrosion-resistant materials. They are suitable for the transportation of various oils and chemical media, and perform exceptionally well in environments with highly corrosive media.
Steel-lined loading arms are made of high-strength steel, ensuring the overall strength and stability of the loading arm. The inner lining is made of corrosion-resistant materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and rubber, which have excellent temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, and can effectively protect the loading arm from corrosion by media.
Medium operating temperature: -15℃ to +180℃ (the maximum operating temperature of modified polyethylene is +105℃).
Medium operating pressure: Positive pressure up to +2.5Mpa, and negative pressure of 75Kpa at room temperature.
Corrosion resistance: It has good corrosion resistance to non-oxidizing acids (such as hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid), dilute nitric acid, alkalis, and salt solutions. However, it is not resistant to corrosion by concentrated nitric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, and other strong oxidants. It generally has good corrosion resistance to organic solvents at room temperature.
In addition to highly corrosive media, steel-lined loading arms can also be used to transport petroleum products such as crude oil, gasoline, and diesel, as well as gaseous materials such as liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas.
Typical applications: Suitable for the transportation of general corrosive fluid media, and more suitable for the transportation of domestic water and drinking cold/hot water. It does not affect water quality when transporting water, meeting hygienic requirements. Steel-wear-resistant high-density polyethylene pipes can be widely used in the transportation of solid-liquid slurries such as coal and mineral sand.
The inner lining material of steel-lined loading arms can be customized according to the characteristics of the medium, making them suitable for various highly corrosive media such as strong acids and strong alkalis. Steel-lined loading arms have multi-degree-of-freedom movement capability, which can adapt to the needs of different loading and unloading angles and positions.
