Technicians have stated that pneumatic butterfly valves are used for controlling solid materials and often serve as discharge valves at the bottom of tanks, such as cement tanks, stone powder tanks, etc., to discharge and quickly cut off materials. Because most dust materials contain particles of varying sizes, there is no doubt that they will cause wear on the sealing surface of the valve. Improper selection can greatly reduce the service life of the valve or quickly cause internal leakage, affecting its continued use.
The batching weighing system uses a PLC to achieve fully automatic control of the entire batching process, while the discharge valve of the batching car uses a pneumatic three eccentric butterfly valve, and the medium is very fine stone powder. After using it for a period of time, the valve leaked internally, causing stone powder to often leak in piles on the workbench. This is because this medium is very fine and a bit sticky. Although the batching car is equipped with a vibration motor, there are still many materials attached to the tank wall and valve parts. When the valve is closed, it gets stuck around the sealing surface, making the valve unable to close, causing leakage after reinstalling the material. Over time, it also causes severe wear and tear on the sealing surface, Even grooves appeared.
Installation and maintenance of pneumatic butterfly valves:
1. When installing pneumatic butterfly valves, attention should be paid to the flow direction markings on the valve body to avoid incorrect flow direction that may affect use.
2. Before using the pneumatic butterfly valve, it should be confirmed that the valve is fully open and the pipeline should be broken and washed to prevent welding slag and other debris from scratching the sealing surface.
3. Pneumatic butterfly valves are generally equipped with bypass pipelines. When repairing or replacing pneumatic butterfly valves, the bypass pipeline can be used as usual.
4. Pneumatic butterfly valves can be installed vertically within a horizontal range of 180 °. Do not install the pneumatic actuator upside down.
5. Please refer to the manual for the debugging of the locator or solenoid valve.
6. The pneumatic actuator has a square head structure and is used as a manual device. In case of a malfunction, manual operation can be achieved by removing the air source pipe and directly using a manual wrench.
7. If any leakage is found in the packing box during use, tighten the gland bolts to solve the problem.
