What is an LPG loading arm, and what makes it different from standard liquid loading arms?

LPG loading arms

LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) loading arm is a specialized transfer equipment designed exclusively for loading and unloading liquefied petroleum gas between storage tanks, tank trucks, railcars, or ships. LPG is a flammable, explosive, and low-boiling-point medium that requires strict safety and sealing performance during transfer, which is the core difference between LPG loading arms and standard liquid loading arms. Unlike ordinary liquid loading arms, LPG loading arms adopt enhanced sealing structures (such as double-sealing rings, metal bellows seals) to prevent LPG leakage and volatilization. They also have pressure and temperature monitoring functions to adapt to the physical characteristics of LPG (which is easy to vaporize when the temperature rises or pressure drops).

In addition, LPG loading arms are usually equipped with anti-static and explosion-proof components to eliminate potential safety hazards during transfer.
